A festive night with JE: LIVE

Folks, we're rounding out the year with our hearts deep into a season which some celebrate, and each in their own way. We continue in our way by bringing you original poetry & music, LIVE, ONLINE, with the December edition of Java Expressions: LIVE. We received and increase in inquiries on performing for the live broadcast. If you're one of those folks then, don't worry, I'll provide you some information & links at the end of this blog. Now, on to our Dec features. In no particular order...
I first would like to reintroduce a young writer, composer, vocalist who goes by the name "Lil Spooks". Some of you may recognize her as she has appeared on JE: LIVE once before and has been a regular among the Acoustically Speaking crowd for quite some time. Although she will occasionally indulge in poetry, she is having fun writing and composing her own music. Lil' Spooks started out as a Twenty-One Pilots cover artist, often playing on her ukulele during open mic nights. In time she began to turn her own passions and pains into art bringing us original poetry and then original music. All of this while still modeling, dancing, and balancing two jobs. In 2018, Lil Spooks will launch her SoundCloud & YouTube channels. In the meantime, you can keep up with her via her Instagram: @25percentthug, Twitter: @lilspooksss, or her Snapchat: @lyndzaachuu. Next, is a singer/songwriter that I first met only a few months ago, Jon Burrill. Jon will often tell that, until recently, he had only been performing to his "old Ford's steering wheel." I first met Jon in the company of Jake Sammis, another recent feature on JE: LIVE. Jon & Jake would often accompany each others' sets. Jon's songs about love, heartbreak, and good times lend themselves well to the country sound that he enjoys, although I could also see him going more classic rock and/or southern rock. Recently, Jon has matched his lyrics with Jakes guitar to form the duo "Trailblazing Conglomerate". While Jon does not yet have any social media dedicate to his musical endeavors, keep on the lookout because as his music develops, so will his web presence. In the meantime, make sure that you're in the house or watching online to check him out.
Finally, rounding out the night's activities is none other than yours truly! It's no accident That I've chosen December and just like with Neil last month, I will be celebrating my birthday this month...actually 3 days late (it's Dec. 14th) but I'll be celebrating it doing what I love. Enjoying a room of LIVE poetry & music. That's our December livestream. Don't forget, we still have our regular open mic running from 7-8pm before the broadcast and then 9:30-11pm after the livestream has concluded.
